Dr. Kathryn Schmidt is a compassionate and skilled podiatrist who brings a personal understanding of foot and ankle care to her patients. Board Qualified in podiatric medicine, she is currently preparing for her board certification exams.

Dr. Schmidt earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa and went on to complete her medical education at Des Moines University. She completed her residency training at SSM Health DePaul Hospital, where she gained comprehensive experience in both surgical and non surgical foot and ankle care.

Originally from Waterloo, Iowa, Dr. Schmidt was inspired to pursue podiatry due to her own experiences growing up with flat feet and chronic pain. The care she received helped her remain active, and that impact now fuels her passion for helping others. She enjoys the variety that podiatry offers—from treating sports injuries to managing diabetic foot conditions—and finds great reward in helping patients return to the activities they love.

Dr. Schmidt now lives in Rock Hill, Missouri. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. A fun fact about Dr. Schmidt: she once sat above the clouds atop Haleakalā in Maui alongside her brothers and captured what she proudly calls the best photo ever taken.
